Interferential Stimulation in Rock Hill: Carolina Chiropractic
Dr. Donald Hewetson • Since 1985
Interferential current therapy (IFC) is a non-invasive modality utilized by Dr. Donald Heweston of Carolina Chiropractic to provide relief from chronic intractable pain and post-surgical / post-trauma acute pain. IFC is a safe and effective alternative to pharmacological approaches to pain relief. The side effects of interferential current therapy are minimal and the therapy is non-addictive.
How interferential current therapy works
IFC uses high frequency currents applied to the skin to help manage pain, edema and inflammation. IFC works to reduce soft tissue irritation from trauma or degenerative changes. Commons conditions that IFC is used to treat include:
- Back and neck pain
- Strains and sprains
- Degenerative joint disease
